Washington Reagan National (DCA) notes: American Airlines is in it's own small concourse (shares with United I think), so lines to get through security are not too long - the concourse only has about 10 gates. Much easier than at Dulles. Once you get out of the concourse there is a lobby area with gift shops - the American shop is the only one that has post cards. The Metro has a stop here, right across the drive from baggage claim, so it would be easy to get to Crystal City and on into DC from here without having to get a car or a cab.
